Beautiful rooftop but service was not that good. He seemed to not understand the simplest of requests and seemed to not know the drinks or the menu that much. Maybe he was new so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but again, the simplest of requests he seemed to be half paying attention. Chicago Nobu is Off Brand — Wether you are familiar with Nobu or familiar with fine dining in Chicago…Nobu Chicago does not stack up. For $200 per person the service aspect was atrocious. The server was directive and not remotely interested in providing a nice experience or properly educate about the menu. Frankly the server was so awful I couldn’t wait for him to leave the table every time. For the price point, totally unacceptable. Any other place on Randolph is a better choice.
Nobu is my spot! After a long hard work week- this is my favorite place to kick back with the house margarita and miso cod. on 7/31 i came around 9pm with my girlfriend. Nobu finally up’d their game with a kickass Dj! Dj esteban played sexy r&b, hot hip hot and totally set the vibe right. imagine perfect vibes as you take in the views. will definitely be coming back for him.
Everything was amazing! Our server was so sweet too!
This is a REALLY nice spot!!! The area has a host of bars, restaurants, etc., that cater to the Downtown Chicago, West Loop yuppie crowd. Went here for birthday drinks and had a nice time. Offers a good view of the city and nice vibe. Will go back whenever I'm in town.
