Tried today for the first time today and my only regret is that I waited so long. OH. MY. GOD. Sooooo f-ing delicious. I ordered 4 empanadas, 3 savory and 1 sweet, which was the perfect amount for me(I'm a bike messenger, burn a lot of calories). 2 empanadas would be about as filling as a typical burger/fries combo meal. What Leo J doesn't like about Cafe Tola:
I was told they have WiFi at their location and when I arrived she said they didn't. I was then sent to their third location not too far because the attendant said they had wifi and when I arrived they said they didn't. A huge waste of time. Misinformation made me lose a lot of time View all feedback.

Flavorful drinks! Well made with attention to detail
You know Cafe Tola is a Chicago classic! Just picked up their spicy mocha for the first time and loving it! Their empanadas are always the best! They have a spicy mango lemonade I need to try? Ok! Will do!
Probs top 5 places in all of Chicago! Happy staff. A great cult following! Empanadas with some Mexican cuisine. …over the years it feels like they put less meat and more filler… but they still have my heart!
