Sam's Southern Eatery - Shreveport

Going to Sam, I had no high hopes. When I stood in front of me five minutes while the Gal was a crossword, I wanted to go. After all, another gall came up and sat me. The table was sticky, the menu has ketchup on it, as far as they were beaten 1/5 because the waitress was beautiful. I got a couple of fried pimples and a double cheeseburger over the menu. It was a light lunch. Boy, I was wrong. At first the fried pickles came out. I have enough that I could have shared the table next to me. The best way to describe them juicy and yet crisp. By far some of the best fried pickles I've ever had in my life. The burger came out next. I expected a little burger. This bad boy was so big that I could close?t open my mouth far enough to a bite. Seasoned perfect, hot, kitschig, warm bungalow and especially amazing. One of the best burgers in a restaurant. In this I went a little hesitant, but by far one of the best places to eat in Shreveport.

We came in late and went home super Happy!! Great service and fantastic food. Fries deserves a mentioning. Grilled shrimp and fish was superb. Chicken fingers the largest portion I?ve seen?.hope to be back!!

I had a friend that came down from New Orleans for a dance competition. They wanted to go get something to eat Friday evening. I told them about Sam's Southern Eatery which had a variety of foods. They enjoyed the food so much they wanted to back a second night.

Stopped here during our drive. Great service from the wait staff. I got the grilled shrimp po boy and it was excellent. My wife got the grilled shrimp salad and it was huge. We always enjoy supporting local places.

Sam's was SO good! We couldn't eat half of what they gave us. Their hush puppies were the best I've ever had. I think I've got to go back at least once more before we go home to Kansas City.
