We ate here before heading to a concert. We were on a schedule but made sure we had time to visit and have a casual, no rushed dinner. We had drinks and queso before ordering and great fajitas and tacos al carbon. The food was really good and the service was attentive without being intrusive. My wife was ready to drive back to Shreveport to eat there again the next day! View all feedback.
What judybhorner doesn't like about Margarita Grill:
My biggest complaint is the parking lot and walkways to the restaurant are very uneven and slope at different angles making it unsafe for older couples. I do like the food and the margaritas are top notch. However, there are some wait persons who will try to rush you and not let you enjoy your meal. Also the noise level is not good. So we have pretty much stopped going to this place. View all feedback.
Beef nacho to start. Tasty and hot. Chili relleno was stuffed with chicken, and drowned in sour cream sauce. The pepper was tough as leather, not impressed. Rice was ok, pintos looked like leftovers. Sopapillas were flat and tasted like they were fried in old oil. Honey and cinnamon will not cover that error. My guest had seven layer salad. Presentation of salad was the most unique thing about this entree. Sadly, it too was disappointing. Salsa and chips were served late in the service with chips being cold and stale , and the salsa had no spice or heat, more like a tomato purée. For a meal that was over $100 for three people, it was disappointing. It must have been a bad night, Based on previous visits, my experience was not typical for this establishment. For the time being, I’ll be looking for another cocina mexicana in the area.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and great drinks, but the food was not as tasty as I would of thought. The chicken was dry and not too tasty.
You will not be disappointed, I am here at least one time a month, the cocktails are so good and the food is so so good, the shrimp and salsa are my favorite dish to order, the spinach quesadillas with beans and rice too are delish.

Placed birthday reservations and experience was over the top. Filet and lobster tail were both done to perfection with absolutely no complaints. Patrick (waiter) was very attentive without being be over intrusive. Chris (manager) worked the floor and our table to ensure we had a wonderful evening. I would 100% recommend spending a special occasion here.
