My friends and I wanted to try this place since we moved here. It did not disappoint. The ambiance, the service, and selections were top notch. The food was fabulous. The starter bread was fresh with a hint of sweet. I went with the shrimp and grits toppedwith crumbled chorizo...uhm yum! What Me Ra X you doesn't like about Mabry House:
I have a concern to share: although we are older, we still enjoy fine dining. However, the ramp at the back of the restaurant is nearly impossible for us to navigate. I'm puzzled as to why a ramp couldn't be added on one side of the front staircase, which has about six steps and three railings. Absolute best food I’ve ever had! If you’re looking for a special dinner, this is the place!
As usual, chef and his staff have delivered. Without a doubt, the best dining experience in Shreveport and Bossier. The service is impeccable and the food is....ridiculously good. If you are wanting to try something new or are in search of the best chef in the area, try the Mabry House, it's an experience you won't soon forget.
My fiancé and I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious meal at The Mabry House this evening. Since we are from the New Orleans area and are unfamiliar with restaurants in Shreveport, I researched online to help us make a selection. I will admit that when I read a comment stating that the person's dinner at The Mabry House was the best meal he or she had ever eaten, I was skeptical. Well, that person was accurate in the review. We loved every single bite of each course! To top our dining experience off, we had an incredible wait staff attending to us. The only negative is that we live nowhere near the chef's amazing creations. Otherwise, we would surely become regulars.
Love this place! Dinner was amazing, the food was absolutely spectacular. We felt spoiled and really enjoyed visiting with others who were dining there too. Such a cozy atmosphere. Can't wait to go again.
I was lucky enough to sit at the chef's table this weekend. It was one of the best meals I've had in quite a while, and it was definitely the best I've ever had in Shreveport.
