What Cristina Ratke doesn't like about College Street Diner:
Below average prices, below average service, below average food quality. A Thursday evening traveling through Commerce we decided to stop for dinner. Found this on Google Maps. Don't quite know how it's getting its rating. It is very compact and with limited seating. Not crowded this particular evening, but the table three away from us made sufficient noise that it was difficult to carry on a conversation. I had the... View all feedback.
Beautiful homemade food served by a friendly waitress. Fair prices! The roasted cabbage is delicious! The cheese cake is fantastic! Nice, clean, picturesque café. We will return.
Great food and the kindest people! We make sure to stop in whenever we're in Sherman. They do their own canning and the apricot jam is excellent! The portions are more than generous and everybody leaves happy.
Omg the best home made cooking and big portions enough to get you full as a tick. Owners are friendly nice and down town warm welcoming people staff friendly. They grow their own herbs. They also have pies snow cones. The place is packed because of their good cooking. I could eat there every day for every meal but I'm big enough. They are true southern home town cooking.
Great mom and pop restaurant in Sherman. The owners aren't awesome and the food is really good. The breakfast menu is a build your own platter, omelette or burrito. It's always fun to see which coffee cup you are going to get. Lunch and dinner are again good, with sides that will make you think your mom is in the back cooking, if your mom is a good southern cook. I recommend the Cat/Rib plate... Which is best of both worlds catfish and ribs. The blackeyed peas are comfort. Burgers and fries are good... But the BBQ really stands out.
Great little hole in the wall place. One of those places that has a lot of regulars. Went for breakfast and got great portions at a good price. Biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, ham, and fried potatoes. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely going into the rotation.
