we saw the good reviews and drove 35 miles in hoping for good Mexican food. no! chips and salsa and margaritas were good. that was it. dry, salty steak tacos and much more. rather sad they use empty dosenware as their device throughout the restaurant. almost fell on my back from the torn, unbroken. The best margaritas in the city! do not fit the Margarita flights, my favorite. eating is always amazing, fresh, hot delicious. highly recommend catrina’s!
Our server was nice, we had to wait for a table even with a reservation. Then they pushed a seating for a much larger group and set us there. I asked the waitress if they would sing happy Birthday, she said yes but never did. I’m very disappointed! Otherwise I’d give a better rating. Don’t make reservations then ignore someone and don’t say your do something you won’t do. I won’t go back at least not for a celebration
The food is consistently hot and always tastes amazing. They had a special half-price margarita that was a delightful surprise for a Saturday!
We were excited to try this restaurant after seeing the positive reviews, and we drove 35 miles hoping for some great Mexican food. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. While the chips, salsa, and margaritas were enjoyable, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The steak tacos were dry and overly salty, among other issues. We were also let down by the unattractive decor, which featured empty containers as part of the design. To top it off, I almost slipped because the flooring was in disrepair. Overall, it was quite a letdown.
My family celebrated a birthday on Cinco de Mayo, and Catrina was quite busy. We visited the restaurant and have always loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
