Located conveniently for rail travelers just down the road from the town center, Brew is a charming independent café with outdoor seating. It appeared to be run by a young East Asian couple. I ordered a much-needed cup of tea while waiting for my breakfast, which was cooked from scratch – a promising sign. I could watch the chef preparing my meal from my seat near the entrance. To my surprise, the breakfast was excellent, exceeding my expectations for a café. It included two perfectly poached eggs on high-quality Sourdough toast, two substantial butcher's sausages, a generous serving of smashed avocado, and a side of greens. It was delicious and just what I needed to start my day off right. Bravo to the team at Brew for a fantastic meal!

Despite being quite busy, we took matters into our own hands and cleared our own table. The food took a while to arrive, but it was delicious. It seems like the restaurant is understaffed, as it appears that they are either short-handed or trying to manage with just two people. Based on others' comments over the years, it seems like the latter is a recurring issue.
