Blackbeard's Cove is a hidden gem on the coast that offers a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. The fried mushrooms are a must-try, but don't overlook the hamburgers, hamburger steaks, or seafood. The Captains Platter for 2 is a standout dish, and the ribeye steak sandwich is also highly recommended. The owner, Cheryl, provides excellent hospitality and a friendly conversation that adds to the overall experience. Whether you're dining indoors or enjoying the outdoor seating, you'll have a great time at Blackbeard's Cove. Don't miss out on this fantastic dining destination when in Shellman's Bluff.

When you're in Shellman's Bluff, be sure to stop by Blackbeard's Cove! I enjoyed a delightful fried grouper plate last night, accompanied by asparagus and a side salad. View all feedback.
What coach roula dislikes about Blackbeard's:
For 7:30 pm on a Saturday night, I was expecting a crowd. But only 4 patrons. Now I know why. The staff acted like we were aliens because we ordered, food. I guess it is a place to get drunk. Food was terrible. Grilled fish and shrimp was raw. Hamburger staek was Salisbury frozen steak with can gravy. Stuffed grouper was ok at best. With drinks was $140 for 3 people. No appetizers, deserts, or mixed drinks. Never wil... View all feedback.
Fantastic staff! Love the steak!! Food came promptly, cold beer, great music! Definitely be back in the future! The owner Stacy was inviting and attentive!
Captains platter for 2 was AWESOME, more than enough for 2 people, our friend ordered a steak sandwich and said it was the best he has had in a long time. We hadn't been to Blackbeard's Cove in quiet sometime but we will be regular's again. Thank you Cheryl for your hospitality and conversation. The Young's
I have been going to the coast since I was a little girl…but I haven’t been able to visit in the past few years due to work and living far away. This past weekend myself and a group of friends went for the July 4th weekend. We dined at Blackbeard’s Cove Sunday night and let me tell you it was awesome. The food was sooo good. I had the platter with RAW Oysters (yum), deviled crab, grilled fish, grilled shrimp, with asparagus and twice baked potato.. I was in heaven!! The staff were super friendly and extremely on point with everything. The owner came and spoke with us for a few minutes, she is absolutely adorable. Such a great, laid-back atmosphere (we sat on the outside area). I’m so glad I experience Blackbeard’s Cove and will be back soon to visit there again. Great Place!

The building looked like a 6 th grade shop class built it. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
This is more like a bar with a restaurant instead of a restaurant with a bar. The food was ok and the servers seemed overworked and understaffed. I'd honestly say that for the price, you should go to one of the other great restaurants in the area. If you're looking for a bar with decent food and a good atmosphere than this would be a good place for you.
