If you want fresh seafood, highly recommend. The beautiful view of the river and delicious food is worth the drive. Our server Kim was so kind, and very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and menu selections even though she had only been working there since April. We loved watching the shrimp boat pass by and waited patiently to see sightings of dolphins we heard you can see there frequently. ? We live in Savannah but whenever we head to Jekyll and St Simons again, we will be stopping here on the way home.

My husband and I heard about this place a couple of years ago and we happened to be traveling on I-95, so we decided to try it out. Some people complained about the atmosphere and that it needed maintenance, upgrade. I like to think it was rustic and itwas part of the charm. It's about 7 miles off I-95. Our waitress was Kim. She was friendly, helpful with ordering and saving usa little money and busy. There were not that many people there, but she was the only waitress and she was working hard. I thinkshe had other duties too. We had clams for our appetizer, fried shrimp and snapper with twisted fries and grits for lunch.Everything was really good! It tasted really fresh. I even thanked my food for their sacrifice. However, the grits requirespecial mention because they were so freaking delicious! They were so melt in your mouth buttery. The food was expensivethough. I mean for what we paid, I would expect my food to be on a plate, not in a basket. Maybe because it was lunch time isthe reason that we got baskets. It would have really classed it up though to have real plates and make me feel like the moneyspent was worth it. I also would think the food would be less expensive because it's caught and cooked right there. There is nomiddle man to pay. The staff mentioned they were having a big event that night. I was wondering where everyone would parkbecause parking was pretty limited. It was not something I had to worry about, but it made me curious. Overall, I am verysatisfied about our lunch there. And if we ever travel near there again, we might just to stop ????

Our waitress, Kim, was friendly and helpful, guiding us through the menu and even helping us save a bit of money. Despite there being only a few customers, she was juggling multiple tasks and doing an impressive job. For our meal, we started with clams as an appetizer, and then had fried shrimp and snapper with twisted fries and grits for lunch. Everything was delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. I even felt compelled to thank my food for its sacrifice! However, the grits deserve special mention – they were absolutely divine, buttery, and practically melted in my mouth. That said, I did find the pricing a bit high; for what we paid, I expected our food to be served on plates rather than in baskets. Perhaps this was due to it being lunchtime, but having real plates would have made the experience feel more upscale and worth the cost. I also thought the prices might be lower since the food is caught and cooked on-site, eliminating middlemen. The staff did mention they were preparing for a big event that evening, which made me wonder about parking, as it seemed quite limited. Though not a major concern for us, it piqued my curiosity. Overall, we were very pleased with our lunch experience. If we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely consider stopping by!

If you're looking for fresh seafood, I highly recommend Pelican Point. The stunning river view and tasty dishes make the drive completely worthwhile. Our server, Kim, was incredibly kind and well-informed about the restaurant’s history and menu, even though she had only been working there since April. We enjoyed watching the shrimp boats pass by and patiently waited to catch a glimpse of dolphins, which we heard are often seen in the area. We live in Savannah, but whenever we visit Jekyll or St. Simons again, we’ll definitely stop here on the way back.

The wonderful staff at the newly opened Red Roof Inn in Darién recommended Fish Dock to me. It’s a well-hidden gem full of character and history. Although the place could use some renovation, it’s definitely worth the detour from I-95. The menu is somewhat limited if you’re looking for upscale seafood, but the food is tasty and the service excellent. I will definitely return.
