Nestled in the heart of the metro Detroit area, Piccirilli’s Italian eatery offers a blend of charm and culinary excellence that draws diners from afar. The cozy ambiance and warm service from the owner create a welcoming atmosphere, though experiences can vary. Many patrons rave about the homemade pasta and delightful dishes like Rollata Pasta, likening the food to cherished family recipes. However, some guests have reported inconsistent service and underwhelming portions, particularly with meat dishes. While some left disappointed, the restaurant remains a beloved destination for others celebrating special occasions, showcasing the enduring appeal of authentic Italian cuisine.

We just had another wonderful dinner at this long standing old school Italian restaurant that I highly recommend. The atmosphere is wonderful the food is outstanding and the service was very good. We were greeted by , what I'm guessing was the owner, a lovely older gentlemen that took us to our table, he was a true delight. We went with friends that had never been there, so I was hoping that it would live up to my hype, and they definitely delivered. We all ordered something different and we were all very happy. From the veal to the steak Diane and even the salmon, you can't go wrong! This place is great for a first date or just date night. They also offer a spacious room where you can host parties for special occasions.

Great Italian restaurant, probably one of the best in the metro Detroit area. All of the food was very fresh and delicious. They have homemade pasta dishes which I feel is hard to find in a suburban location like this. Specifically, the lasagna and gnocchi were delicious. My only complaint is some of the meat dishes were too small. My Dad got the veal for $24 and it was so tiny. You probably wouldn't be able to make a full meal out of a meat dish alone definitely get a pasta dish with it.

Went here for a funeral luncheon. The food was excellent and the service was great. Wish I lived closer! I'd be back often.

Had an absolutely awful experience with the male server there. He was clearly angry, spilt wine on my wife’s outfit, didn’t apologize and huffed and puffed when we asked him for something to help clean it up with. After he finally returned with someextra napkins he then proceeded to take his anger out on my four year old who wanted to order the spaghetti and meatballs. Ihighly considered just leaving and sticking the bill to him, but I wasn’t sure if he had my license plate on camera. So Isettled with just not tipping him. My advice to management, get rid of terrible servers and bring in friendly people. My familyand I will never be back and we will avoid this place like the plague.

Very disappointing experience. We went here last night for a girl's night with our extended family. I called more than 2 weeks in advance and reserved the wine room for our special night. It was our first time all together since Covid began. We had a party of 11. When we arrived nobody was there to greet us. It took at least 5 minutes before anyone came over. We were taken to our table that was NOT in the wine room. We decided not to make that an issue to avoid any unpleasant vibes. We told our waitress, who was very nice, that we would be all on a separate check. She informed us that the restaurant policy was to charge $3 per check in order to do that. Really? $33 extra? I don't think so! We said we would just figure it out ourselves. It turned out to be a nightmare trying to write down what credit card got charged for what. I still don't get why you would not accommodate your guests, rather than inconvenience them. The bread was brought out and the Italian bread was good but the focaccia was old. The salads were brought out and the lettuce was not fresh. The waitress forgot one person's salad and after looking at how wilted they looked just canceled hers. Then the appetizers came out. The calamari was rubbery and disgusting. The food was then brought out. Two people got chicken Caesar salads. They did not put on enough dressing and the dressing was watered down They asked for more and the waitress said they didn't have anymore! Really? We pushed her on it and told her that was unacceptable. So she came back and said the chef would make some more. Why did he serve it that way to begin with? Then the Caprese Chicken dish was served with underripe tomatoes. The Shrimp scampi was all angel hair pasta with 5 Shrimp. It was not a nice experience. We will be doing this outing quarterly but sadly we will be trying another option for Italian.
