Our favorite hangout for great wine, fun, and relaxation on a Friday or Saturday night. Owners Shannon and Cortney have done such a great job with this business offering not just great wine selections, but also, fun trivia nights, themed events, and vitner dinners with owners from various Michigan wineries and one of metro Detroit's top chefs Chris Franz. We've been here so many times, it's impossible to count. Love... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Michigan By The Bottle Tasting Room:
That's not my favorite place. I went specifically here about the other locations for the wine mud they had on the menu at the time, but when I came there, even though this taste was also on the menu they put in the table, they informed me that they had changed it. I've noticed since that they changed it online. I'll keep an eye on the menu, but probably lost interest. The seating can also be comfortable and like loun... View all feedback.
In town for a long weekend and met some friends for an early evening, pre dinner activity. We really enjoyed this Michigan only wine tasting room experience! The establishment creates a nice hybrid space giving the ambiance of a retail store and a tasting experience. We were the only party in attendance for most of the time. Jen, the sole employee at the time, was helpful, attentive and personable. (Note: we arrived around 4 on a Thursday, so we didn 't expect it to be busy. There was a really broad range of available wines of many different varieties. Being from another state, I was impressed to find that Michigan had so many styles to offer, even Cabs and Pinot Noir most often associated with lower latitudes. We went with the flight options giving us 3, 3oz pours for the price of a nice, full glass of wine. At the time, our table really enjoyed the oaked Chardonnay and a Malbec. We took advantage of the $5 coupon that comes with the flight by purchasing a few bottles when we left. Snack options were available. We enjoyed a baguette with some goat cream cheese. Another item was our first choice, but they were out. We also enjoyed the cashews. If you are looking for a full meal, lunch or dinner, you can order in from DoorDash the sky is the limit! Overall, enjoyable experience to share with friends and loved one! Overall rating 3.75. (Note: it 's hard for me to go 4 or higher just because this is missing the winery feel. That has nothing to do with this place, but more my preference.
