My expectations were low, I expected a venomous reception considering the vale has never been renowned to accept unwanted visitors. I couldn 't have been more pleasantly surprised, the pub stood back from the main road a beacon of times past. Inside was a nice mixture of modern and classic pub decor. Food and drinks both excellent and served with minimal fuss and hassle. Staff seemed very busy but it didn’t impact our needs as the diners and staff were there when we needed them.
