Rivelin - Sheffield
Rivelin
Description
This pub presents a mixed bag of experiences, combining excellent food and value with varying levels of service and atmosphere. While many diners enjoy the homemade dishes and family-friendly environment—complete with a play area—others lament the uncomfortable seating and uninviting decor. Booking ahead is essential, as some guests faced unwanted scrutiny at the entrance. Although praised for generous portions and quality meals, issues with long wait times persist. Overall, it’s worth a visit for delicious pub fare, but guests should be prepared for potential service challenges and inconsistencies in ambiance.

I think this place is now closed. We went on a Friday evening at about 6pm and not open, but also no signs of being open for ages. Apparently closed 2 weeks ago, but they've not updated Google. Their response shows attention to detail is not great as they said they closed on 1st July... wasted everyone's time.
A lovely pub to drop into after walking in the area. Clean, plenty of space and reasonably priced on a range of drinks. Haven't tried the food yet but from what we saw it looks like ample portions of tasty food!
Called in for a pint over the weekend whilst on a local walk, always known it's there but first time we've been in. A selection of local Bradfield brewery beers and the usual mainstream brands. Food smelled delicious and the menu looked tempting but maybe next time for some food. It always looks busy so can only imagine food will be good as it's not actually on a main road but visible from Rivelin valley road.
