Feedback
Stunning, elegant food bursting with vibrant flavours that take your senses to culinary heaven. The craftsmanship in every dish oozes sophistication and finesse, with every element beautifully executed. Worth every penny, this restaurant truly delivers an exceptional dining experience. In my opinion, it deserved its Michelin Star years ago
We came here for our first wedding anniversary and can confirm that Rafters entirely justifies the stellar reputation it enjoys. We were seen to by Nathan (sommelier), Will, Moby and Ben (FOH) and Dan and Sam (kitchen) and I've never had such attentive and anticipatory service before. This is not my first time in an upmarket restaurant and this was by far the best service I've ever had. The entire team were very knowledgeable and excellent at swooping in just as we needed anything. We had a vegan 10 course menu which was outstanding start to finish. Vegan food is not always the easiest to keep engaging but every dish was knockout here. An interesting and varied menu which I thoroughly enjoyed, with some excellent wine recommended by Nathan. Atmosphere was relaxed and smart casual. It's a small, intimate venue ideal for special occasions. Overall very happy indeed. It's not cheap but for the level of experience it was unquestionably worth it. If you're considering it I would strongly advise just pulling the trigger. We will absolutely be returning in the future.
Absolutely amazing! Ben was lovely, friendly, professional and knowledgeable about all the dishes served! Impeccable flavours and presentation. We will definitely be coming back and recommend to all that fancy something a little different and memorable!
The service at the table was great, and the sommelier in particular was very attentive and helpful. The food was nice and they catered thoughtfully to a dietary requirement (gluten intolerance). However, the portions were small enough that we left hungry, which at £75 per person, shouldn't happen. The bigger issue was finding cling film in the lamb main, apparently left over from the rolling process. The manager apologised, but it was a shrug of the shoulders kind of sorry rather than any genuine effort to make it right. No discount, no gesture, nothing. When paying top tier prices, attention to detail is exactly what is expected. Cling film in the food, followed by a blasé response from management, is the opposite of that.
Me and my partner were here for my birthday meal on Friday 12th. I have been following the restaurant since just before lockdown and have always wanted to come. The food was absolutely Devine! Almost everything on the menu I had never had the opportunity to try before, so the tasting menu was perfect. We both had things that normally we wouldn’t like but they were so delicious here! I also had the wine pairing, every wine was exceptional and complemented each dish perfectly! We look forward to coming with my mother in law for her birthday meal. I genuinely cannot find the words to describe how wonderful our experience here was! Thankyou to the team who very clearly work so hard to provide such service and experiences for their customers!
