He was... read more The manager responsible for taking our food orders was incredibly rude. He was extremely pushy and made the process of ordering our food very stressful. He was argumentative and arrogant, often trying to tell us what we wanted to eat instead of listening to our preferences. Unfortunately, the food itself was not much better. I ordered the salmon and courgette pasta, and it tasted like a bowl of sea water - no one at the table enjoyed it. While a few of the younger waiters were pleasant, overall the experience was quite disappointing.

However, our experience was not... read more I am disappointed to leave this review as I can see from other reviews that this restaurant is generally a nice place to visit. However, our experience was not the best. We arrived after checking reviews on both Facebook and other platforms, but were let down. There seemed to be confusion about our booking, even though we had paid a £20 deposit. We were seated at a table right outside the toilet, in a separate room from the main bar, which was very cold. I mentioned the temperature to a staff member, who said they would address it. It was only fixed as we were leaving. Our drinks order was taken promptly, but it took 15/20 minutes for a waiter to come and take our food order. Our starters did not look like they did in the online pictures, but we decided to continue. When our mains arrived, my gluten-free meal was mixed up with my partner's. We were told we could swap as both dishes were gluten-free, but this didn't give me much confidence. The overall atmosphere was lacking, as we were seated in a cold room by ourselves and felt forgotten. Unfortunately, this was not a great experience and we will not be returning. These may seem like small issues, but they greatly impact our experience. However, the waiter was lovely, even though I didn't catch his name.

However, we were disappointed with the unfriendly and rude behavior of the staff towards our table and other customers. The poor service made our dining experience uncomfortable, so I would not recommend this place.

Highlights of the meal, where my wife's roast lamb dish, which was super tender and had great flavour, and the chocolate mousse dessert which was rich, indulgent and smooth.
