All change, following new ownership after retirement of previous landlords and promising few changes we find they managed to screw it up. No atmosphere, minimal investment, good beer changed and 30% plus price rise. Intimidating bouncers now there? Anyway not be going back. View all feedback.
Beautiful small family-run pub, tom and barbara make them always welcome. eating is great pub food, good prices and massive portions. best pint of guinness I've ever had and always fight to decide between this and a pint of moonshine. my favorite pub in the country, no competition

Barbara and tom are absolutely amazing, they do a wonderful work that runs this pub. it is a very cozy place to come, listen, local artists play live music and sing. they would definitely recommend if they are after a relaxed and fun evening:
A wonderful atmosphere. Great hosts who remember customers, even if they haven't been there in years! Great drinks and incredible food at amazing value! There was even live musical entertainment.
Old skool cash only. Great atmosphere. Very friendly place. Despite all the Guinness hype, this was one of the worst I've had as the barman didn't know how to pour it. So it was 30% head and he ended up chopping the head off with a knife and topping up not how a Guinness should be poured!
