After reading all the positive reviews I was excited to try this place out, I love BBQ! Service Super friendly, knowledgable. Food The Pork Belly was really good, good flavor, good texture. The ribs and brisket had almost zero flavor though. I had to smoother them in so so BBQ sauce just to give them any taste. I absolutely love this restaurant! It seems to be family-owned, which adds a nice touch. They offer plenty of meat options on the menu. Their homemade BBQ sauce is on the sweeter side and not too spicy, which I personally enjoyed. The beans are rather plain, but with a bit of sauce, they become fantastic!
Wow, I’m originally from Texas, and I never anticipated finding BBQ this amazing up here. The brisket was excellent, the turkey was moist and tender, and the ribs were simply incredible! With cold beer and exceptional BBQ, it doesn’t get any better than this. We will definitely return!
Incredible food! I tried both the pork belly and brisket sandwiches for lunch/dinner, and I can't express enough how amazing they were. The pork belly was juicy and packed with flavor, while the brisket was moist and delicious. Even though there was a short line when I arrived, the wait was surprisingly quick. You definitely need to check this place out!
I had a wonderful experience at Firebrand. The customer service was friendly, and the portion sizes were generous. They offer the most affordable Alaskan crab in town, along with traditional Texas-style BBQ accompanied by a variety of domestic and craft beers. The crab was cooked flawlessly and had a delightful smoky flavor, and the homemade BBQ sauce was a nice touch. My only criticism is that the meat and beans could use a bit more seasoning, although they were cooked perfectly. Keep up the great work, everyone!
After seeing all the great reviews, I was really looking forward to trying this barbecue spot since I love BBQ! The service was fantastic—super friendly and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the pork belly; it had excellent flavor and texture. However, the ribs and brisket were quite bland, and I found myself needing to slather them in average BBQ sauce just to add some taste. As for the atmosphere, everyone sits outside, and I can imagine it’s often windy in this part of Alaska, which means the food cools down quickly. By the time I sat down, my brisket was already cold.
