Today, I almost had to call the police on a man who was yelling at a young girl, only to discover later that he was actually a staff member at Vernon’s. Given how he spoke to her, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant if you have minor children. It does not feel like a safe place for families.

The place itself is outdated an... read more Idk where to begin... first off our service was good i think it's because the workers know how bad the food and environment are. The place itself is outdated and just gross. The booth we got one side was torn up lucky my husband always sits by me. The table was this flower vinyl stuff and it almost looked like there were mold spots on it. It's needs to be completely remodeled. It's such a pretty spot on the lake and everything is so gross in there.... The food was the worst part... we got queso fries which were the only thing I ended up eating because of how bad my meal was. My husband got quesadillas there were okay but over loaded with cheese that was so greasy it was a lot!!! The dish is got was the Alfredo (if you can call it that) when it came out smelled so bad I was instantly nauseous. It was the worst thing I have ever tasted! I gagged after the first bite and didn't eat anymore! So my dish the poor waitress did try to warn me I'm not going to give a name because I don't want anyone to get into trouble but she did tell me it was bad and a lot of people send it back even when they do like blue cheese (that is what is sprinkled ontop) I asked to try the sauce and she let me and it wasn't bad but when they brought the dish out the noodles were mushy but on the bottom they were burnt as if it was sitting on a warmer for too long and the steak was so chewy you couldn't get through it. Like I said I've never ate anything that bad. There's no way the owner has tasted that and thought oh yeah let's put that on the menu.... my mind is blown.. The sad thing is that was supposed to be a special dinner our neighbors gifts us with for helping them during this last cold front and was have 3 little kids one with a mental disability so when never get to or spend time alone so besides leaving hungry we left disappointed our only alone time was wasted there.
