I've generally experienced good service here, and the food is quite tasty. It can get a bit noisy, but the view of the lake is fantastic.

The behavior of the staff at this restaurant is unacceptable. Today, I almost had to call the police on a man who was yelling at a young girl, only to discover later that he was actually a staff member at Vernon’s. Given how he spoke to her, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant if you have minor children. It does not feel like a safe place for families.

This was my first visit, and I plan to return. It's a bit on the expensive side—$15 for a hamburger. Overall, I rated the food 4 out of 5, the service 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere 4 out of 5.

Visited on Thursday 2/13/25 for a steak night early Valentine dinner. We were seated promptly in a booth and then met our server Kristena M. She was very friendly, outgoing, and attentive. Sadly, she was the best part of my visit. We both ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. My wifes food all came out ok. My steak had such heavy grill marks on it that every bite left a burnt taste in my mouth. The fries i substituted for came out cold undercooked and greasy all at the same time. Could not eat those at all. Kristena did offer to try to make my order right, but i declined because by the time i would have gotten other food, my wife would have been done eating. The dinner rolls were large, fluffy, and had a good flavor. There was a blonde woman dressed in all black that stopped at all the tables around us but not ours. I assume she was in some sort of management position as she was asking how peoples meals were. Wished she would have stopped at our table. After spending over $80 for food and tip, I am not sure if i would come back to give it another try. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I absolutely love the pot roast and carrots. I can taste it as I type. My wife like the chicken pot pie and she only wishes it didn’t have potatoes in it. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Homemade Chicken Pot Pie
