So we tried it agai... read more We had stopped going to the Pit Stop due to the poor service and terrible food. But we were told they had new staff and the food was better. So we tried it again. We arrived a few minutes after 5:00 pm and ordered a hamburger with onion rings and a chefsalad. We received our order at 6:39 pm even though there was only five tables of people. The hamburger bun was about the sizeof a slider bun, the hamburger patty was almost as big as a fifty cent piece and charred/burnt. I guess the joke is on me, whenI ordered a 1/4 lb hamburger I thought that was the weight of the meat, not the whole thing. For an order of onion rings, therewas 3. As small as the hamburger was I didn?t eat all of the burnt disaster. I gave one star because it is hard to screw up asalad. After we left I went to Sonic to get something fit to eat. We will never go there again!

Both Chicken fried steaks were overcooked, dry, very tough, and poorly seasoned. The potatoes were decent enough, onion rings may have been good if they didn't throw them in the gravy and gotten them all soggy and covered in gravy.The beef enchiladas were decent enough to at least eat and the cheese enchiladas were pretty good. Most of this order is in mytrash can because even my dog wouldn't touch that Chicken fried steak, Literally walked off with it excited then spit it out onthe porch slightly chewed and just left it.

I had their Chicken Fried Steak sandwich, y'all, we Texans are serious about our CFS. this sandwich was truly a real CFS now! Not Hamburger dipped in breading, it was the real deal! I was inheaven! The tomatoes were fresh and I'm going back for more! My big boys got those big ole burgers, and my hubby loves hisbreakfast anytime of day, of course we got that one kid who only wants chicken, chicken, chicken fingers. It was awesome andevery was happy. Cept they forgot my onion rings, but they gave me a credit so I'm over it cuz the food was dang delicious!Y'all better git in there cuz this is the place to go! Yeehaw! I love my Texas restaurants!
