the family got caught on a Saturday night and we loved her! make sure they book early. I have booked late through quandoo, but it has not been received and we have become a very full restaurant. they were good enough to find a table for us and to impress us. we ordered the crispy pata, sisig, squid. children enjoyed the sisig so much we ordered a second. it was great to eat good philippinian food, to drink philippini... What User doesn't like about Lava Bistro Grill:
My first impression of this filo restaurant was quite shocking. However, the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was incredibly loud. With only mellow music playing along with a live band in such a small space, it felt overwhelming. Even when the band wasn't playing, the music was still too loud and quite annoying. I wondered if they realized the high decibel level could negatively affect everyone... View all feedback.

Absolutely fantastic food and an amazing atmosphere! This has been the most enjoyable experience we've had all year.
The sisig dish included tofu, pig ears, an egg, onions, and mayo. It appeared to be missing any liver or meat. While it had a pleasant aroma, the flavor didn’t resemble traditional sisig at all. I was hopeful about the crispy palabok, but the execution was disappointing; the noodles were clumped together and we couldn’t break them apart even with a spoon. The barbecue and liempo were decent, though a bit on the sweet side, and the dipping sauce was excessively sweet.
I wondered if they realized the high decibel level could negatively affect everyone's hearing, and it seemed like the band members weren't using any ear protection themselves. People would struggle to enjoy conversations with their friends and might end up changing their seats because of it. Overall, I didn't think the situation was handled very well.
Good food, service and excellent live band
