For 16,90 euros, lunch from noon to 3 good dishes. No waiting and proper service. Good value for money. Only flat, the coffee a little expensive and just hot.
Little Stay nice in front of the canal. A menu of the day with choice and hearty dishes. Good value for money.
Great! They didn't throw themselves on us like the others.... Family kitchen, good meal, very correct price and very welcoming staff. I recommend without hesitation.

While visiting Sete we were walking along the quayside looking for somewhere to have lunch. Without any guide to restaurants in Sete we used the old rule of thumb and looked for somewhere busy and, for preference, busy with locals. L'Escale met both criteria. The restaurant seemed to be particularly popular with French families. Service was friendly and efficient, the food was well prepared and not stinted on at reasonable prices. A good spot for lunch.
Six people, four foreigners, but we were all in agreement that it was an excellent evening. Three a la carte, steak, monkfish and cod, all thoroughly enjoyed. And an enormous parillada fish platter shared by the three others including myself. Fish all fresh, and each item cod, sardines, prawns etc perfectly cooked. Plus some very friendly waiting staff. Nothing negative to say.
