Without any guide to restaurants in Sete we used the old rule of thumb and looked for somewhere busy and, for preference, busy with locals. L'Escale met both criteria. The restaurant seemed to be particularly popular with French families. Service was friendly and efficient, the food was well prepared and not stinted on at reasonable prices. A good spot for lunch.

And an enormous parillada fish platter shared by the three others including myself. Fish all fresh, and each item cod, sardines, prawns etc perfectly cooked. Plus some very friendly waiting staff. Nothing negative to say.
