I had Zarzuela fir the first time - paella like. Very good. Service was south of France style - everywhere is slow. We will come back though as the food was great.

We've eaten at most of the establishments in the square, I think the intense competition keeps the prices low - 13.9 euros for three courses is a fantastic deal. My wife had the seafood platter for starters - no oysters available unfortunately but the prawns were great - not a great fan of sea snails though! The menu is in English but also states that the staff only speak French, which is the ideal combination. I had the cuttlefish for main course, it's on all the menus here but I'd never tried it, it was good but not as good as my wife's ox braised in red wine which she raved about. We went into the little bar for a couple of pastis to round off an excellent meal. Great food, great service, great prices, and above all a great atmosphere. Well done Fops!

We regularly stop there, it is where we get off the bus from Bezi... read more We have been visiting Serignan for the last 8 years but have never until recently ate at Fops. We regularly stop there, it is where we get off the bus from Beziers and have a drink, but this last visit we made a point of having our lunch there. Enjoyed it so much we went back for our evening meal the next day. This is a local, unpretentious and excellent value bar/restaurant. The three course menu offers a variety of dishes to suit all taste and is amazing value at 13 euros. The staff are lovely and you just feel like you are part of the local community when you dine there. We hoped to make it our last meal of this latest trip, but they don't serve meals Thursday evenings. However, we will definitely make it our first meal out on our return to Serignan in the near future.
