Was Anonym at Molinari a mag?
The vegan options at this restaurant are surprisingly good considering it caters mostly to non-vegans and is not often talked about by vegans. The ragu rigatoni was delicious and the portion size was just right. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Molinari:
The grilled vegetable appetizer was disappointing and served cold, indicating it may have been prepared in advance. The gnocchi bowl had good flavor, but the gnocchi itself seemed more like chunks of potato than traditional gnocchi. This dish could benefit from more garlic, but as I am not a fan, it did not suit my taste. View all feedback.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they offer a complete separate vegan menu at this restaurant! Unfortunately, they were out of pizza the night my party and I visited, even though there was only one other group dining at 7:30 in the evening. (They were apologetic and offered us some delicious pickles, which paired nicely with the pasta.) We ended up trying the ragu rigatoni and gnocchi instead. The ragu was made with veggie/soy textured protein and was incredibly tasty. The gnocchi had good flavor, but was a bit too soft for my liking, though I still enjoyed it. They even bake their own bread in-house. The staff was friendly and entertaining...I will definitely be returning to sample their pizza next time!
I used to frequent this restaurant before the pandemic, and while it was always decent, it wasn't anything special. However, I noticed some pictures online that made the place look better than I remembered. Despite trying to visit a few times, it was always closed. Recently, Vegefeed featured it as one of their restaurants of the month, but once again, it was closed when I tried to go. After reaching out to Vegefeed, they updated their post to indicate that the restaurant is closed on weekends. I finally had a chance to visit on a weekday when I had a day off, but upon entering, I was rudely yelled at by a woman, who told me they were sold out. I was filled with anger and frustration. There still isn't a sign on the door stating their weekend closure; instead, it simply says "open year round."
The Pasta Arabita was delicious, but it was very spicy and I burned my mouth. Most of the menu items can be made vegan.
