I loved how you could be seated at the balcony overlooking the beach and I can see why so many people would enjoy its relaxed ambience. I appreciated the service too. It is with regret that I found the food slightly overrated. The l'il piggy pizza was a bit disappointing - I found that the base was soggy from the pumpkin so I found myself rolling them up to eat them. The flavours didn't work so we were lucky to have the sauce from the fried chicken wings to add another depth of flavour to it. The chicken wings weren't too bad but I wouldn't be too sure if I'd return for the food. Pizza is hard to mess up and it wasn't particularly busy today. On the other hand, it is a great place for evening drinks.

Started wit... read more Sunday evening dinner with the place almost to ourselves - in stark contrast when we tried to eat there on the night before and couldn't get a seat! Started with oysters and despite them already being pre opened, they were fresh and flavorsome. Mains decisions were made somewhat difficult by the mouth watering descriptions of the specials given by our very attentive waiter. Settled on the gnocchi and the swordfish. Fantastic dishes. Wine list is predominantly South Australian and it is well thought. Some really excellent wines. Started with a pinot and finished the evening with beautiful French cheeses and a shiraz. Definitely a stand out restaurant with a lot of hands on care and attention by talented owners.

The bread became soggy which detracted from the pizza origins. For $25.00 I expect what I was eating in Italy for $15.00. My wife had the burger. Big to say the least but the bun was also too much. I liked it but it is expensive for what it is. Still needs a paint job and a spruce up. F

Can't help but think all you're paying for is an upstairs view of the Semaphore strip and beach. Food was definitely lacking. Pizzas were below average, and the sharing plates looked like they'd feed a bird. Service was ok. Fit out is nice and cosy inside however that's not enough to get Poppy returning to Lickerish, he doesn't know what the fuss is about. Thumb down, not worth an eat
