I had the grilled chicken salad which is probably in the top of grilled chicken salads I've had in my lifetime- the veggies were super fresh and the chicken was still hot when it came out. The marinade they use for their meat is fantastic!

Service was warm and attentive, but the food was absolutely spectacular. You really wouldn’t expect food this good in such an unassuming place. Highly recommend the chicken salad and a craft white ale! We split ‘Mom’s Chocolate Cake’ between us which was a complete like a fudge brownie/tarts served with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Amazing!

We came here for an evening meal on one of our final days in Iceland. As soon as we walked into the restaurant a waitress shouted rudely over to us. We realised... read more We came here for an evening meal on one of our final days in Iceland. As soon as we walked into the restaurant a waitress shouted rudely over to us. We realised we were supposed to have waited by the door instead of walking in. We asked for a table for 5 and she didnt respond, just sullenly wiped the table down. We waited patiently whilst she wiped the table and she then shouted at us again because we were supposedly in her way, (we weren't). She then shouted at us again for the same reason. After we had sat down, she kept slamming plates and cups down around us, making her feelings felt. The whole experience was so oppressive and we couldn't wait to leave. I can see from previous reviews that she has form for this kind of thing. We paid our bill, told the waitress what we thought of her customer service and left. I would not recommend and will not be returning.

Vatn er ókeypis eins og annars staðar á Íslandi. Í eftirrétt eru steiktu Oreos með vanilluís ljúffengur. Super restaurant with very nice service. We ate the 3 courses menu. It was very good. Fresh ingredients and really very delicious. Very recommended. Water is available free of charge in Iceland. As dessert, the fried oreos with vanilla ice cream are very delicious.
