My family and I had dinner at this restaurant on a Sunday, and as usual, the food was delicious, hot, and flavorful. The restaurant was busy, but the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I ordered the lamb and my husband had the beef, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
I walked in from the cold to a charming, cozy pub with a wood burner that was being tended to regularly. I enjoyed a refreshing pint and my dog was treated like a king. What's not to love!
I had Sunday lunch at the Jackdaw with my family. Lil was truly amazing. I had heard great things about this place and it did not disappoint. The lamb was incredibly tender and all sourced locally. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to all my friends and family. The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, the jukebox was fabulous, and we were always made to feel welcome.
Lovely, friendly, quirky pub. We went as a table of 9 and called before hand to let them know and they arranged the table for us. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious, nice selection of meats (pork, beef and lamb) and amazing Yorkshire puddings!
We came here this evening for the first time as it was a half way point between us and some of our foster sons family. From the minute we set foot in the door, we were very warmly welcomed by the two ladies there. They were incredibly accommodating, chatting to us regularly throughout our time there and socialising with our 3 children. The place itself had a good old fashioned pub vibe and was lovely and warm with the log burner going. Home cooked food was great and enjoyed by all 7 of us. Again staff were very helpful with the birthday cake. Relaxed and homely feel. Can’t recommend enough, will definitely return. Thank you very much.
