Our table was reserved as I had... read more I came for lunch today with my mother at Dinsdale restaurant. We had never been before but it had been highly recommended to us. Our table was reserved as I had spoken to Tony through messenger. The restaurant was busy with people having lunch already, but once seated, our orders were taken quickly and the food was served promptly. Both of our meals were delicious, well presented, and made with high quality ingredients. Overall, we had a very enjoyable lunch and will definitely be coming back. A great bonus was receiving vouchers for 50% off our food. A nice touch was when Tony came over to introduce himself, remembering my name. Thank you Tony.

We waited for about 10 minutes but nobody c... read more We visited today on our way back from a shopping trip in York. It was just before 2pm, but the restaurant was empty. We waited for about 10 minutes but nobody came out. My son needed his nappy changing and I thought as there is a children's menu there would be a changing area, no. We went home hungry with a wet child. Very disappointed.

The menu offers a variety of options for each course, making it easy to make a choice without spending too much time deciding. The ambiance is welcoming and laid-back, with modern and bright decor during lunch and a more intimate candlelit setting in the evening. The spacious layout between tables provides privacy and ensures excellent service. Despite being located at Scarthingwell Golf Club, the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend dining at Spikes.
