The menu... read more I visited this restaurant in early November with friends and was very impressed. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, without being too overwhelming. The menu is diverse and exciting, with reasonable prices. The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were generous, unlike other places where you pay a lot for very little. The timing between courses was just right, allowing for a leisurely 2-hour meal with plenty of conversation. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering advice on unfamiliar dishes. The only downside was the cost of drinks, particularly mixers. In the future, I plan to buy a bottle of wine instead. Despite this, I have already booked to return just before Christmas for a special occasion and am looking forward to it.

We received a warm welcome and immediately felt at ease with the pleasant background music and cozy atmosphere. The friendly and professional managers and staff took care of our every need at our spotlessly clean table. Each person in our group loved their delicious and beautifully presented meals, and we will definitely be returning to Ellington's in the near future!

I can honestly say that my husband and I have never had even a mediocre meal here, it’s always a full on treat. I know that you only do 3 nights a week now but please don’t stop as you are our favourite restaurant in Merseyside. Thank you Cathy and Tony and your brother the best chef around

The service was spectacular the whole restaurant has a family feel and they really know how to look after their customers. Staff are so in tune with what makes a good restaurant and nothing is a bother. Drinks were excellent and the food was another level altogether. The honey parsnips on the that roast dinner, wow. The pork crackling was sensational. It really was a sensational roast dinner actually the best Iv ever had
