When we did manage... read more Unfortunately, they didn’t answer the phone despite several attempts to reach them, and the hotel staff seemed indifferent to our situation. When we did manage to speak with the restaurant staff, they appeared genuinely annoyed by our requests for a drink or any questions we had. Being located in downtown Sedalia, I would recommend they adopt a more approachable attitude and improve their staffing standards. As we were leaving, we noticed and could smell some staff members smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. Not very professional.

One dish arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the other meals. I understand that waiting for food can make time feel stretched, but I assure you, it really was a 30-minute wait. Additionally, they were out of several items on both the menu and the drink list. We had high hopes for the Ivory Grille since there aren't many dining options in that area of Sedalia, especially nice ones. We were hoping to find a lovely place to enjoy during our visit.

Everyone enjoyed their chosen entrees, and the portion sizes were generous. The service time was satisfactory. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. The only incident was when the server accidentally dropped a water glass, spilling it in my girlfriend's lap and causing it to shatter on the floor. She was very apologetic about it.

The menu in the restaurant did not match the website, so I was disappointed not to have the portobello fries or seafood ravioli as an option. However, I was really pleased with thecedar plank salmon and the wildfire shrimp. Portions were just the right size, and everything came out with perfect timing. Thefish was tender and flaky, and perfectly seasoned. The bread and garlic-cheese butter that came alongside the meal was alsotasty. My server was kind and efficient, and the restaurant's atmosphere made for a peaceful evening after a busy day.

As for par... read more This is a wonderful upscale vintage restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious, and the drinks were fantastic. The service was also very pleasant. As for parking, I found a spot on the main street. However, there are steps leading down into the restaurant, so I’m not sure about wheelchair accessibility, as I didn’t notice a secondary entrance.
