Revisited this place in our backyard after six years of traveling the world. They?ve really stepped their game up! Absolutely everything was outstanding. Fortunately it wasn?t crowded this particular evening so parking was out front, we were greetedwarmly, the wine list is very good and Paul is supremely knowledgeable. Our Caesar salads were the best I?ve had in decades.Filet mignon, salmon, and crème brûlée all delicious. Service and atmosphere as expected in a high end restaurant. We?ll beback!
I went to the front desk to request an opener for our room and was advised to go to the bar at Chicanes. The bartender said she didn't have any and if it was for our room and our personal use there would be an opening charge. 200$ night and I can't get anopener for the room. I wonder what a wine glass would cost? It's just the point of the matter!!
We had an amazing experience here. The food was fantastic. We ordered the grouper fritters, blackened shrimp Alfredo, mashed potatoes, blacked chicken marinara with linguine, brownie Sunday, and creme brulee. I'd get it all again. Our waitress, Kristy, was outstanding.
I ordered an appetizer that I asked to be cooked medium rare it came rare. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and the noodles tasted like pasta water and the marinara was nonexistent and utterly flavorless. The waiter said he would speak to the manager when I told him these issues , I told him that was unnecessary I’ll just pay the bill and leave. He spoke to the manager anyway and related that the manager said there was nothing he could do. The bill was $122 and overall the experience was terrible where food quality was concerned. My wife got salmon and she enjoyed it, our salads were good. The chicken on the chicken Parmesan was alright. Not worth $122 for the meal by any stretch. Total bill was $142 I left a $20 tip for the waiter as it wasn’t his fault some of the food was terrible. I will not ever be back.
