The wait staff was attentive and the food delicious. We had a beet salad, lamb stew, pork tenderloin with pasta and apple crisp ala mode for dessert. All great!
Unfortunately the service was very poor. It took 15 min for us to be even be recognized by the wait staff. I had to finally get up and ask to be waited on. I ordered the scallop entre which was terrible. The scallops were under cooked (gray in color), chewy, and presented floating in a sea of creamy, soupy polenta. I ate one scallop and left the rest. I just couldn't get it down. The seasonings used did not complement either the scallops or the polenta. It was all a hodgepodge of different, unappealing flavors and textures. My guest, however, seemed to enjoy the grilled chicken he ordered.
We stumbled onto St. Clouds while browsing thru Open Table and it was the highlight of the last month. A fun neighborhood in Seattle that I have not spent much time in. Fun location, liked the raised booth we had next to kitchen. could see all the great things coming out of the kitchen before we ordered. Will definitely come back here again.
