Reviews summary

Rupee Bar reimagines South Asian flavors as shareable, tapas-style plates in an intimate Seattle venue. A concise, inventive menu yields standouts — Kerala fried chicken, deviled prawns, mutton rolls, bhel puri with blueberries and exceptional naan — matched by imaginative cocktails like a Mediterranean tonic. Service is friendly and efficient, ideal for dates or celebratory groups; outdoor sidewalk seating adds charm. Expect a small, sometimes warm dining room, limited seating and neighborhood street parking; reservations recommended.

Was Aditya Pandurangi at Rupee a mag?

Rather than your typical Indian place, this is more like fusion Indian dishes reimagined as a tapas bar. The kerala fried chicken is great, as is the purple potatoes. Also try a rye old View all feedback.

Loved our experience at the Rupee Bar!We made reservations as it looked like a smaller venue although there were a few table’s available at 6. Friendly and relax staff atmosphere. We felt attended to, but not overwhelmed. We ordered half the menu and it was all good.Crispy mutton rolls and Kerala chicken, fried eggplant, naan and prawns.Although everything tasted great, my personal favourite were the prawns.

Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian dishes that appeal to both vegetarians and omnivores. Parking: There is neighborhood street parking available within a few scenic blocks.

What a fantastic dining experience! We visited as a group of four and shared several dishes. The bhel puri with blueberries was a delightful surprise, and the mutton rolls were so tasty that we ended up ordering a second round. We also enjoyed cocktails, dal, naan, fried chicken, and scallops, all of which were delicious. The star of the meal, however, was the dessert tart topped with a wonderfully spiced whipped cream. The service was friendly and quick. The only downside was the uncomfortable heat inside, especially at our table, which was located right next to the kitchen.
