Was Ron Mandel at Re:public a mag?
We had a group dinner here with about 16 folks. The staff was both attentive and flexible, I appreciate their tolerance of the level of randomness we brought. The drinks were well balanced and the food portions were generous and flavorful. The atmosphere is kinda 'corporate south lake union ' but that 's where the restaurant is, so... View all feedback.
What BirthdayDinner dislikes about Re:public:
Went here for a family birthday dinner. Place was packed after a sporting event. Good vibe, but very loud and service was slow (though very sweet and was definitely hustling). Food was just OK and drinks were watered down. View all feedback.
Had happy hour with some girlfriends yesterday (Friday).

Need a HH place close by SLU to kill time during traffic hour? Well, re:public is probably the place for you.
I visited this restaurant at 9:40pm on a Tuesday after a Kraken game and it exceeded my expectations. The burger and bolognese were incredibly delicious, leaving me speechless. Unfortunately, we were so hungry that we devoured our meals in just 3 minutes so I didn't get a chance to take a photo. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was a bit dark but it didn't detract from the amazing food. I give a 10/10 to the chef who cooked our dinner.
I am currently visiting town for the week and came across Republic while walking around. The atmosphere was vibrant and the bartender was fantastic and attentive. Since my dinner was being paid for by my company, I was excited for a nice meal before heading back to my hotel alone. I decided to order the shrimp and grits, but unfortunately it was overly seasoned. It was a bit overwhelming and I had never experienced such strong flavors in a meal before. Despite this, I still managed to finish it because it was too cold to venture elsewhere. Tonight, I will be having a 10-piece McNugget, BBQ, sweet and sour, hot mustard sauce, and a cheeseburger instead.
