Regatta Grille - Seattle
Regatta Grille
Description
Regatta Bar Grille, located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Seattle, offers a delightful American-style menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a cozy and informal setting. Breakfast options include almond crusted French toast on brioche with Washington cherry sauce and a goat cheese scramble with tomatoes, bacon, and onion. For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy specialties like Seattle seafood stew with a variety of seafood in a fennel-tomato sauce, bricked half chicken Provencal with roasted potatoes and tomato relish, and a meat head pizza loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, and mozzarella. Popular sandwich choices include the lamb burger with minted yogurt and roast beef dip with brie and horseradish sauce. Pair your meal with a seasonal cocktail, such as the vodka Seattle apple splash from Regatta Bar Grille.

Update: We finally received our food, and it was good and fresh. I ordered from the menu and didn’t try the buffet.
The service is pleasant, and my meals arrived promptly. I've visited this restaurant several times during conferences for both breakfast and dinner. The food is decent, but I think it's somewhat overpriced. The $22 breakfast buffet or similar prices for items from the menu seem a bit excessive. Some of the breakfast offerings off the menu taste like they’re just repackaged ingredients you would find at the buffet. Overall, it’s not a bad experience, but the prices should either be lowered or the quality of the food should be enhanced.
The bartender, Milton, was very rude and aggressive toward me and several other patrons.
Ate here twice last time I was in Seattle. Food is fine, drinks are fine, and the space is fine. My issue is that there is an automatic 18 or 20% gratuity added to the bill, which by itself i am ok with. The servers generally were good and i am happy to tip at least that much. However, both times they pushed me for additional gratuity. Putting the electronic payment device on the tip screen. The first day i fell for it, and ended up tippng $30 on a $60 meal. The second day I asked the server, who immediately got flustered and tried to make up a story about why the gratuity was not enough and I should still tip more. The hotel was mobbed with tourists; I can't imagine how many people they scam. It's extremely dishonest and not the way a restaurant should be run. Walk down the street for better food and not to be taken advantage of. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
Brunch/breakfast for chumps and chimps. I was very disappointed, I spent $96 for brunch for two adults and one child. You have the option to order off the menu or breakfast buffet. The buffet consisted of French toast, overcooked potatoes, and pork sausage, so we ordered from the menu. My wife and I ordered the sunrise breakfast which should be called the rainy and gloomy breakfast. Yes, you can mess up eggs, bacon, and potatoes. I asked for over-medium eggs with my bacon cooked soft. I got one egg cooked hard, one medium, and 2 of 3 bacon strips were soft. My wife’s bacon was extra crispy and then we got the same trash breakfast papas on the breakfast bar. Insult to injury 18% service charger (gratuity) was automatically added. I have experienced this in fine dining restaurants that have been exceptional, but never in a hotel restaurant. I don’t recommend going to the many restaurants that are less than a 10-minute walk away.
