Paseo Sodo - Seattle
Paseo Sodo
Description
This Seattle Caribbean spot delivers bold, well-seasoned sauces, spicy customization and generous plates—highlighted by a flavorful red-sauce Alaskan cod, bright salads and sweet black beans. Practical counter ordering, indoor/outdoor seating and parking (paid lot or 2-hour street) make it convenient for lunch crowds and concertgoers. However, quality can be uneven: some sandwiches are skimpy, overdressed with onions and suffer from overcooked bread, making value inconsistent. Best for casual diners and first-time Caribbean explorers who want big flavors but should expect occasional portion and preparation misses.

Great dinner. Generous portions, flavorful. One of my favorite spots. Go there spend money, over tip and eat food/drink!
After getting a taste of what Paseo had to offer at the T-Mobile Park food preview, I knew I had to visit and try more of their delicious Caribbean eats. This spot is a casual affair where you order your grub at the counter. They have some of the best sandwiches in the country and my husband hadn't had a chance to try one yet. He chose the Alaskan Cod sandwich which has pan seared fish in garlic tapenade, fresh cilantro, pickled jalapeños, caramelized onions, and crisp romaine. He dove right in, and although it was messy to the max, he enjoyed the flavors and the sandwich really satisfied.
My first time at this restaurant, and I can see what people are talking about. The food was great, I had a steak sandwich and it was filling and delicious. The next time I go to Seattle I will have to stop back in there and try another sandwich . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20
I haven’t had Paseos in a long time, so I decided to give it another try. The sandwich itself wasn’t as good as I remembered—felt like it was missing a bit of the flavor I used to love and it was a bit dry. We also got the mango habanero wings, which were spicy but still a little lacking in flavor. As for parking, it’s very limited. There are only about five spots since a parking company owns most of the lot, so I’d recommend not parking there unless you plan to pay. There’s a fair amount of seating if you’re dining inside, which is nice.
