Kamonegi – Fremont. Minimalist interiors, refined noodle presentation. Kamonegi is highly viewed on Google Maps among tourists seeking authentic Japanese dining in Seattle. The space feels simple, focused, and calm. The presentation is clean and elegant, making food photography subtle and refined. Lighting is soft and flattering, especially for tabletop shots. This is an excellent choice for travelers who appreciate precision, balance, and quiet dining moments. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

So good! We got there around 5 PM on a Friday and there was a wait time of 30 minutes just enough to go to their sister bar Hannyatou and get a sparkling yuzu cocktail. Back at Kamonegi we ended up getting the iberico pork Katsu, tempura squash, twokinds of dipping soba (cream of morel and the signature duck one , and finished off with tempura Oreos and matcha rocky road. All were good, but my favorites were the squash, cream of morel (a tad more flavorful IMO than the duck! , and matcha rockyroad. They will also give you some soba water (pasta water to thin your dipping broth and drink it after the noodles are gone.

Amazing local restaurant with great service and delicious food. The quality of the food is amazing and everyone was hospitable. Small shop, but we got some chef counter seats by arriving 10 minutes before they opened and the view into the kitchen was fun. They have a second restaurant/bar two doors over that serves some great sake and has a cute patio.

Amazing soba and tempura! It’s authentic Japanese but with a twist on some items. The soba has the perfect firmness. The tempura is so light and crispy. And the dessert… so good I could’ve had a few of them if I could. Overall super high qualityingredients cooked so well. Recommend making reservations. Definitely will be going back!
