Feedback
At Jack's BBQ in Seattle, expectations vary. While many rave about the flavorful brisket, mouthwatering ribs, and tender chicken tenders, others have encountered issues like overly salty dishes or inconsistent meat portions. The mac and cheese and cornbread receive praise for their unique flavors and textures, particularly the sweet, moist cornbread. Diners appreciate the friendly atmosphere and dog-friendly policies, making it a welcoming spot for all. Despite some mixed reviews, Jack's BBQ finds favor with those seeking hearty portions and a taste of Southern comfort, positioning itself as a notable contender in Seattle's barbecue scene.
I thought I was going to walk away hungry when I saw the plate I got. But I was wrong. I was full and satisfied. The brisket was soft and tender and nicely charred on the outside. It was so flavorful and good. The cornbread was sweet but not overly so. It was crumbly and delicious. Even the MAC was delicious. There was a little crust on top which added so much flavor to it. Overall it was a pretty expensive meal. My brisket plate cost me 27 dollars and that's a lot to me. But it was damn good!!The waiter was also very friendly and the mood in the restaurant was very southern/Texas themed. So the vibes fit the food. ??
I placed an order online. When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff, who had the order ready on time. The order was accurate.I ordered tortilla chips with queso. Chips were good, but I was surprised to find large pieces of peppers in it. The mac and cheese uses the same queso, so it also has pieces of peppers. For Chicken Tenders, I ordered the sauce on the side, as there were no descriptions. The Kickin Sauce is sweet, no spicy. However since the cooks most likely expect it to be tossed, the chicken was over-battered and overcooked. While still edible and flavorful it was quite the crunch. The fries smelled amazing, but lacked seasoning. Would still recommend
It's a pretty small space, so everyone is very close. However, it gives it a family feel because apparently all the people there are regulars. They were super friendly and answered all of our questions, and they allowed dogs in there and gave the doggies meat! The dogs were so happy and well-behaved bc they knew they were getting a delicious treat ?The food comes in gigantic portions, which is great for my family, we left with leftovers! So we had dinner and a snack for later. The Mac and cheese was like nothing I have ever had before! It was delicious! The cornbread was so moist and sweet like honey, and the butter was hand churned or something. It was literally one of the best meals we have ever had! I give this place a 10 out 10 easy!
Rarely will you find decent BBQ anywhere. But here you will find PERFECT BBQ, full of flavor that will cause you to stop and truly savor what you're eating at an entirely new level. The sauces are spot on, the entrees are masterful, and all is offeredby such an amazing staff that you will be shocked... SHOCKED... at how little you'll pay for one of the best Texas style BBQexperiences the PNW has to offer. If you're in Seattle and you love Texas style cooking then you have no excuse not go stophere. None.
I was in the area on business and highly recommend this place. They serve nice portion platters and the food is delicious. The drink (a margarita) was a perfect mix in addition to the brisket.
