We had high expectations for Haymaker, but unfortunately, we were let down. Things started off well when we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were seated promptly. However, things went downhill from there. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive after ordering, despite notifying our server that we were in a time crunch. Only one slider out of three per order was brought to us, with no explanation on when we would receive the rest. Our entrees arrived with less than 15 minutes to eat and pay, even though the restaurant was not even half full. With only two servers working and our server being hardly present, the open kitchen seemed chaotic. The pasta was undercooked to the point of being Al dente. When we provided feedback to the front of house manager on our way out, he blamed us for not making an earlier reservation.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. It was recommended by a friend. I wanted to find a good, high quality restaurant in West Seattle located near bookstores and Easy Street Records. It was perfect. And, wow! The best restrooms I've ever seen.

We should have sent our food back it was so over spiced. If I was the chef tasting the tagliatelle I would’ve thrown out the whole batch. It was Thai food spicy.

Just another example of poor management that is plaguing this group of restaurants (Vendemia,, Haymaker 1, and now Haymaker 2) On this occasion, the place was totally under staffed and the staff they had were not well trained. WE sat for 30 minutes before getting water. Another 10min before ordering. Wine arrived promptly but Another 25 minutes went by before the first course. Rather than having their full menu, they pulled some lame excuse to have a pre-set 2 course menu. It was economical but the food itself underwhelming. Something you could do at home. Most of the food was luke warm to tepid.

What a rousing disappointment. Something must have changed from the positive reviews I read. Steak was raw, massively mediocre and expensive and the outrageously priced pasta was so salty as to be inedible. And it lacked any other flavor on top of that. Awful dessert. Mediocre drinks, mediocre burrata and the service was barely existent save your money. It was genuinely uncomfortable to know how to reply when asked how it was “tasting” 15 min in. the food was so bad that it was impossible to know what to say or where to start. There are great restaurants in Seattle. This resembles those in price only.
