The food is ‘seasonal, local, fancy, comfort food’ per the menu description and features creative takes on familiar fare like Gazpacho which had a cherry/fennel chutney providing textural contrast (it could use some sharp micro greens for color but is delicious all the same). Both squash dishes were good though the Acorn squash was definitely tastier. Again, Acorn squash could have used a bit more chimichurri squash itself was cooked perfectly. Daily croquette was a cheese variety and was a bit dense. The only sore note was the bread pudding which had a strange, crunchy ‘bread’ and was buried under whipped cream did not care for the presence flavor. Lighting is not conducive to appreciating the plating which is a shame. Cocktails were ambitious and generally good though the old fashioned was a bit of a let down. Service was attentive and food arrived regularly (we shared 4 small plates) though it appeared to be a quiet night with only a couple diners an hour and a half from closing time.
