Th... read more I absolutely love dining here! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the monkfish risotto was both delicious and elegant. Be sure to try the cream bubble dessert! The location is ideal, situated between the university and the children's hospital, making it perfect for a stress-free business or recruitment dinner after work, without the hassle of city or east side traffic. It was quiet, which made it great for conversation and a relaxed evening meal. Our French waiter made us feel as though we had been transported to France for the evening.

I wanted to try the classic dishes from the $25 menu; my friend ordered a la carte. Service was good at first but then the bistrot filled up and it was overly slow, especially for my dessert. The noise level became very high. We happened to be seated by a group of 6 people, which was definitely part of the problem. The food was very good although my hanger steak was a bit beyond the medium rare I'd ordered. My friend's mussels looked and tasted wonderful and she raved about her beet salad. My Bordeaux wine was a good value for $10. I liked the banquettes around one end of the restaurant. I would return, but probably during the week.

I had the French onion soup and the salmon and both were prepared perfectly. I will be going back.
