Calluna - Seattle
Calluna
Description
Calluna is an intimate Seattle jazz supper club pairing world-class live music with sumptuous, comfort-driven dishes — notably Wiener schnitzel and hearty steaks — and craft cocktails. Seating for fewer than 80 fosters a focused, listening audience and attentive, professional service. The cozy setting elevates the music experience, though early sets can be loud for conversation and occasional service misses (salt/pepper not on tables; rare overcooked steak) appear. Overall, it’s a must for jazz lovers seeking a warm, high-quality evening out.

The food, music and staff were all wonderful. Delicious Wienerschnitzel and the whole dish of steak and sides was an excellent whole meal of deliciousness well paired within itself. The live music was a bit too loud for us but i still couldn't help but adore the tenderness of the Art of the Trio performance.
One of Seattle’s best spots for live jazz with an amazingly sumptuous menu. An intimate space that offers a quiet space for listening to deep jazz. The room encourages a present and listening audience, much appreciated by all. A rarity in Seattle. Thank you Calluna for your class act. You are the tops!
Great music. Very good food. My steak was slightly over done and I would have liked salt and pepper at the table or at least the server to check back sooner so could ask for some. Cocktails were great. Wonderful small and intimate venue. I'd definitely go back again.
After our second pleasant experience here, I thought to do a review to say how delicious the food is, and how enjoyable to music is. Both times, the latest to see/hear Greta Matassa, we were delighted by the evening in a small locale that holds around thirty guests, and a jazz group of four, all of which fits nicely together, and makes one feel quite comfortable and part of the scene. The wait staff is exceptionally kind, professional, pleasant, capable. We will go again, and encourage others to enjoy it, as well.
Calluna is unique. It's a restaurant that has jazz bands play four nights a week. That's not different, but considering these are world class jazz groups, and the place may have 25 small tables with a capacity of less than 80 people maybe, it's astonishingly unique. We arrived at 7:30 for our res. That's when the band starts, and we couldn't talk for 45 minutes. That's impossible for me, and I was uncomfortable. Next time I'll make my reservation for 7:00. The food was excellent, and my Wiener Schnitzel one of the best. The music is amazing, and very intimate with the diners. Patrons looked suburban, and I was a bit too funky, but I can't help that. People stared at me like I was from Mars, but that's okay. I'm actually from Uranus. I will return to Calluna, and I will still look funky.
