Feedback
Nestled in a stunning high-rise along Fremont Street in Seattle, this Turkish restaurant promises an authentic dining experience, complete with vibrant decor and a personable staff. While some dishes, like the dolmas and yam hummus, shine with unique flavors, others may leave diners wanting more, often described as bland. The diverse menu caters to various diets, with thoughtful vegan options. However, mixed reviews on certain dishes, like the döner wrap and moussaka, suggest inconsistency. Overall, the ambiance, friendly service, and delightful extras like complimentary tea make it a worthwhile stop for those seeking adventurous flavors beyond traditional fast food.
We loved the vegan auberginen moussaka, our favourite dish. the yam hummus was fantastic and my first time yam hummus! the gypsy yahni was also delicious. the participants come with fantastic salad and delicious Turkish pilaf. I just wish they had some of my other favorite Turkish foods, like çiğ köfte!
Falafel is dense and tasty, hummus platter has 4 sweet and creamy dips, but the gypsy yahni was the star of the meal. menu has a good branding of vegan dresses and some sweet dishes can be modified.
Ordered the pide (first time trying one) and expected it to taste like a cheeseless pizza, but to my surprise, my mouth was bursting with flavor. The dough was soft, and the fried cauliflower (eggplant was the other main veggie) added a *slight* crunch texture with the rest of the dish. It was savory and delicious. Also the interior decor is GORGEOUS!
This is the third time we've been to the cafe. Love the food, and everyone we've ever dealt with has been great. One thing that especially appeals to me is that I need GF and it is wonderful to have such an extensive menu from which to choose. The only thing which was off that night, was the Turkish Coffee. It's been good all the rest of the time, and we are no strangers to it, but this time it was very chewy as if the grounds got poured with out enough liquid so they didn't settle out. Other than that we will be back...and bring friends.
