We loved the vegan auberginen moussaka, our favourite dish. the yam hummus was fantastic and my first time yam hummus! the gypsy yahni was also delicious. the participants come with fantastic salad and delicious Turkish pilaf. I just wish they had some of my other favorite Turkish foods, like çiğ köfte!
Falafel is dense and tasty, hummus platter has 4 sweet and creamy dips, but the gypsy yahni was the star of the meal. menu has a good branding of vegan dresses and some sweet dishes can be modified.
Ordered the pide (first time trying one) and expected it to taste like a cheeseless pizza, but to my surprise, my mouth was bursting with flavor. The dough was soft, and the fried cauliflower (eggplant was the other main veggie) added a *slight* crunch texture with the rest of the dish. It was savory and delicious. Also the interior decor is GORGEOUS!
I heard from people saying that this place is really good, I went myself and it was THAT good! The atmosphere is everything. The menu has variety of options and creative. In Seattle, I think Cafe Turko is unlike the other Turkish Cafes around, and I love the way it is. Chef Süreyya did a great job : I will definitely try it out again.
