Description

Burrito Express is a beloved no-frills mobile spot known for hearty breakfast burritos, a standout pork “Pig Pen,” and bright homemade green salsa. Many praise its freshness, speed, cleanliness and authentic flavors, making it a convenient morning and takeout favorite. Recent visits, however, report inconsistent quality—greasy or underseasoned fillings, order mistakes, slower service at peak times—and frustration over extra charges for salsa. Great for quick breakfast runs and office orders, it’s worth visiting but expect variable reliability.

The burrito is decent, but charging $0.75 for an extra salsa feels unreasonable. I'm already paying $12 for a burrito, and it seems excessive to nickel and dime me for a small extra when you're operating a food truck without the same overhead as a traditional restaurant.

I do wish they offered chips and guacamole, but the salsas they do have are very good. They provide a limited selection of drinks (soda). The service is quick, and they use a pager system when the lines get long. The staff has been consistently friendly. The restaurant is located in a parking lot, so finding parking is usually manageable, but it can be a bit tricky at times. It’s a tight space, and exiting, especially turning left, can be challenging. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a try—it’s definitely worth the money!

I've eaten here many times before but the last couple times the experience has been quite bad. My veggie burrito was flavorless, with undercooked slimy potatoes, and the vegetables were swimming in oil. No seasoning whatsoever, just a greasy, mushy, wet mess. The prices have almost doubled in the last 2 years, but the quality has gone way down. So disappointing. After tax and tip I paid ~15 for something that went in the trash after only a few bites. Also the staff was super distracted and gave me the wrong salsas. I paid for 2 extra and when I got home I saw they put the wrong ones in the bag. If you're going to charge 75 cents for salsa, get the right ones in the bag please. How hard is that?

I highly recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito.

Consistently delicious breakfast burritos!! My roommates and I get breakfast burritos weekly (or more) and it's the highlight of our week. They're a great value for the price/size of the burrito. The salsa verde is so fresh and flavorful/ tasty, and not spicy. They're getting more popular, which is great, but if you're in a rush then ordering ahead is the way to go.
