We have been staying here for the last 3 weeks do to a medical emergency. The staff and management have been fantastic!! They all have gone the extra mile to keep us in a room and very comfortable. It has been a trying time for our family and it’s great that there people that truly care. The rooms are very clean, and all staff very helpful and friendly. The restaurant, Brellas, that is in the hotel has really good fo... View all feedback.
What Hillary N doesn't like about Brella's:
This place was terrible. When associated with a major hotel chain I expected better. Should have taken the empty restaurant as a sign. Service was terribly slow and disorganized. The food was barely passable. Ordered a cheeseburger but asked for cheddar instead of american. It was delivered with no cheese at all. All 4 meals had an issue. Took over an hour to get things right and two tables came in and walked out wit... View all feedback.
It's a restaurant within a hotel (though it does have an exterior entrance door with a sign, though that's sometimes locked , so that sets the scene. But, even as hotel restaurants go, this one was not great. The food was decent enough, nothing fantastic but nothing awful. We ate here a few times during our stay; the brunch buffet has some decent options (make your own waffles, but what, no bacon?! , and the plate of nachos we shared as an appetizer was plenty of food for a snack. The bar is separate from the restaurant, so if you want to order a drink with your food you're kind of at the mercy of the server being able to tell you what's available. The service is subpar, on multiple occasions we had to wait for water fills/refills (and coffee in the mornings , and aside from taking our order and getting our food, no one really checked in on us. One time we came down to order fried ice cream to take up to our room (we didn't want to pay the hefty room service fees , and the server took our order (after we stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for her , then had to explain we'd have to wait another 10 minutes while she delivered a room service order (seriously, you have one person working the restaurant AND delivering room service?! . If you're staying in the hotel and realllllly don't want to go outside, this is a viable option (though they're only open for breakfast and dinner, so no lunch for you . Otherwise, there are so many better options nearby, I'd go with one of those instead.
We were staying in a nearby hotel (not the Best Western), it was late and Brella's was open and nearby. We ordered the Brella Burger (with fries), Brussels Sprouts and Caesar Salad. After reading the reviews, we were expecting something mediocre and bland but we were surprised all three dishes were great in quality, freshness, flavor and portions. Service was little sketchy, but not a deal killer. We would repeat the dining experience.
For hotel food in a hotel of this caliber the food is good. The breakfast buffet is international, hot cold, items marked gluten free. Ample amounts of delicious food. Full buffet for $8.95
Review is for the bar, I didn't go in the restaurant. The bartender's service was great, she was friendly, and though she admitted she wasn't the most knowledgeable, she made sure you liked what you got. There is a free pool table as well.
My boyfriend has been buying those Restaurant.com gift certificates (pay $3, get a $25 GC) and we 've had fun trying out new places around Seattle. While driving around looking for Brella 's we had to stop and call for directions because we couldn 't find it. Best Western, how may I direct your call? Ohhh that 's right... someone neglected to add on their restaurant.com GC details that Brella 's is actually the restaurant INSIDE Best Western. Determined to use it anyway we park, walk in through the hotel lobby to Brella 's Restaurant and Lounge where there were a total of two people working, about four families eating from out of town and a TV in the corner. In fact, here 's a direct quotation: From sandwiches to steaks and everything in between you will enjoy the casual and relaxing atmosphere of Brella 's on Taylor (just a quick walk from the Space Needle). If you 're in the mood for the lighter side just order one of our Big Salad 's or our weekly seafood special. And for you sports fans; every game day is a win with a huge plate of nachos and a 64 oz. pitcher of beer for only $7.95. Excuse me, do you mention in there ANYWHERE that this is the Best Western? Awkward silence abounded... apparently hotel restaurants don 't believe in background music.. and we ordered the most that we could to fulfill our $30 minimum. My bf had the steak and shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes while I ordered shrimp scampi with mushroom risotto. The shrimp were about the size of a lifesaver and the risotto probably came out of a can filled with salt. Needless to say, we paid more than it was worth, including the deal from the website.
