Nestled in a charming neighborhood, this restaurant boasts a beautiful setting and an impressive wine selection, perfect for date nights or casual gatherings. While patrons rave about the ambiance and delightful small plates, service issues frequently mar the experience. Long waits, inattentive staff, and mismanaged reservations create frustration. Though many appreciate the quality of food and drink, the inconsistent service often leaves diners disappointed. Despite these drawbacks, the venue's tranquil vibe and potential for excellent food and wine continue to attract visitors, making it a hidden gem worth considering—if you can navigate the service challenges.

I visited this restaurant for a business meeting. Located in a cozy neighborhood, this venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a great ambiance. I tried a red wine from Lebanon for the first time and absolutely enjoyed it. Their truffles are delicious and worth trying all the flavors. I was pleasantly surprised by their pickled eggs. It's a great place to take a guest and leave a good impression. The servic... View all feedback.
What Brad Stroman dislikes about Bottlehouse:
Really beautiful setting and selection of wines. I would have given the review 5 stars except:1. There is no online or digital waitlist, which nowadays, even if the merchant takes a credit card to guarantee your reservation, is poor form. We had to put our name on a paper list and we were told there was a 1h30 wait. The wait was actually 2 hours and we had to be available within minutes which is really impractical.2.... I was excited to visit this restaurant but ended up disappointed. The Valentine's Day menu was underwhelming, and the dishes we ordered did not meet our expectations. The butter was served cold and there was too much slaw in the sandwich. The charcuterie had good meat, and the gnocchi had a good texture, but lacked in flavor. The wine pairing included two roses and one red, with light notes for the roses and Merlot/Pinot Noir/syrah for the red mix, but the flavors did not complement each other well. Overall, I felt that the restaurant did not put much effort into preparing for the event, with no descriptions provided for ticket purchases, no event menu posted on their Instagram, and drinks being advertised only two days before. Additionally, the wine flights were not cohesive, despite all being the same color.
I went on a date at this restaurant and arrived after my scheduled time, but the staff was absolutely amazing even though we got there before they closed at 10:45. They had a fantastic selection of food and the waiter was very friendly. I would love to return and enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. I felt a bit rushed because I didn't want to keep the staff from going home, but they were very understanding. There was no pressure or urgency from the staff at all. I will definitely be recommending this place to others from now on.
I am hesitant to write a review as I want to keep it a secret, but I feel they deserve the praise! Bottlehouse provides a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. It transports patrons away from the hustle and bustle of the city and makes them feel like they have stumbled upon their own hidden gem. It is a wonderful place with consistently excellent service!
Neat place. Was there on a chilly evening seated by the back door. Service staff coming and going kept leaving the door open. It was super cold with a stiff breeze flowing in. Everyone around got to expecting me to pull the door shut such that I more or less became the door man. I was also not impressed with the value where food was concerned. We got a 2x $24 charcuterie that was laughably small. The best part of it was a little dish of pickled veggies. Anyway, I expected more from the place overall. Maybe I caught it in a bad day. I’ve never been but would try it again.
