Was Jessica T at Bitterroot Bbq a mag?
I decided to drop by this restaurant on a whim last Friday, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was very friendly. My husband is quite particular when it comes to BBQ, and he isn't easily impressed, but even he enjoyed what we had. View all feedback.
What Joshua B dislikes about Bitterroot Bbq:
The original chef has left, and the food just isn't the same anymore. It's disappointing because this was one of our favorite places. I'll have to remove it from our list. View all feedback.

My coworker I decided to walk up find a restaurant to eat lunch. We walked along Ballard Ave NW and decide on which restaurant to eat at. We could smell a savory bbq flavor wafting in the air. By the time we reached Bitterroot BBQ, we had decided. We walked in. The person at the walkup was courteous helped us decide on our lunch. The dining area was clean with a nice ambiance. We chatted until our meals were delivered to our tables. The BBQ sandwiches were a tasty juicy smorgasbord of flavors. We both only ate half of our sandwiches. The other half of my sandwich was even tastier the next day.
Used to be one of my fave BBQ spots in Seattle (yes, there is a real lack of decent BBQ here) however, tonight my ribs came out nearly raw. I no longer have faith that this restaurant is cooking their food correctly at all, and now believe they are disgracing the name of BBQ.
Paid $18 for sliced brisket and what came is 80% fat. Gross. Super disappointed. Mac N Cheese and fries were good.
Ordered ribs with 2 sides plus grits. We received one side and the grits. Ordered wings that were very salty. Every thing was cold except that salad. It only took 25 minutes from the time I ordered until delivery. Their ribs are still the best in Seattle. Only going to eat there from now on.
**Bitterroot BBQ: A Seattle Gem** Nestled in the heart of Ballard, Bitterroot BBQ offers a tantalizing mix of flavors that pairs well with its lively atmosphere. While the restaurant impresses with its well-cooked meats—particularly the brisket and standout sauces—some diners have noted inconsistencies, especially with ribs that can occasionally miss the mark. The sides, including crispy fries and jalapeno cheddar cornbread, elevate the experience. Service can be hit-or-miss, with varying degrees of attentiveness, but the overall vibe remains inviting. Despite a crowded culinary scene, Bitterroot BBQ is a worthy destination for BBQ lovers seeking a gratifying meal in Seattle.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was even better. As a small business owner, I can confidently say that customer service is paramount, and Harry's truly excelled in this regard.
