I went here with my mum for a coffee and snack as we were in the neighbourhood. It's super cute and they make great coffee! My mum had a pastry which she said was delicious. I didn't have anything to eat but they did have a gluten and dairy free slice of cake which was exciting, so I'll have to go again for a piece. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend going to Bake Shop for a coffee, snack and even a littl... View all feedback.
What Amara Franecki doesn't like about Bake Shop:
Tasty, but $20 total for a coffee and roll is insane. Paying $8(pretax) for a savory, delicious scone being the most egregious of all. Shave off 30% of that greed and I’d come back… even that’s pushing it. My first impressions were right, I’ll go elsewhere. View all feedback.
I ordered a salad, a sandwich, and some baked goods, and everything was delicious and healthy. The bakery is well-lit with large windows, and the minimalist vintage decor creates a relaxing atmosphere. I did feel that the prices were a bit high, though I understand that running a quality bakery in Seattle comes with its challenges. It was lovely to see that everything is compostable, which reflects the baker’s thoughtful approach.
This is a fantastic bakery that also serves as a delightful sandwich café. The staff is friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant experience. We particularly enjoyed the babka and the buckwheat cookies! It's just a short stroll from the Space Needle area. You can stop by for breakfast, lunch, or a snack before continuing down W. Thomas St. to the footbridge in the water park.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is really appealing, and the place feels clean, contributing to a positive overall experience. However, I wasn't particularly impressed with the food or coffee. My wife ordered a breakfast sandwich, which was quite good, but I've definitely had better. I got a mortadella sandwich that I didn't enjoy at all; it just wasn't for me, and I couldn't finish it. I also tried a mocha, and it was one of the worst coffees I've ever had. I'm not sure if it was the milk, the coffee itself, or the brewing process, but it really missed the mark for me. I'd like to return, but probably not for breakfast or brunch. As I mentioned, the atmosphere was nice, so I would consider trying something different on my next visit.
Two stars for coffee and baked; three stars for the ambiente. the baby propagated plants in minivases were sweet and refreshing, and the whole place had a simple, clean look. I'd go back to hang if I were more impressed by eating. I ordered the ham and cheese roll and salted caramel latte. we begin with the roll: it looked delicious, with its hearty discs of ham swirled through the bumpy. the taste was buttery and the outside was crispy, but when I took a few more bites and reached the center, I was disappointed to find that the roll did not seem completely baked. it was soft, not like in uh, so fluffy! , but more like eh. This is kind of rough. the other baked and menu items looked interesting, so if I'm back in the opposite, maybe I'll try something else, and then the laugh. I appreciate it coming hot as I took it to go and wanted it to stay warm for my trip to home. I have also tasted in the salted caramel flavor, instead of being cheap and making only one drip or a simple latte. the drink was smooth, with the right amount of foam. but where was the taste? again I was disappointed that what I thought was a tasty drink only. until I came to the end and got a hauch of concentrated taste that had hidden at the bottom of the cup. (and I came down within 15 minutes to get it, so it is not like the taste down because I drink procrastinated. Maybe my experience was a fuke. the other reviews were so far impressed. we will see if I try this place again!
I think I 've found a new favorite cafe! Not only is the cafe 's decor very cute (see flask plant holder on table), there are so many amazing baked goods. My favorite was the Yukon Gold Ham& Cheese Roll. It 's so soft and savory. I want to try it 's sibling, the Yukon Gold Cinnamon Roll next visit. I also really liked the Quesadilla Cake which was a savory little cake. They also have fresh breads like Focaccia available. You can also pick up some great wines with some beautiful labels. Looking forward to visiting again!
