The cafeteria is definitely worth a visit for the experience, although the food isn't the main highlight (the attached food items cost around $25). Located at the top of The Space Needle, about 600 feet high, the café offers a stunning 360-degree view of downtown Seattle. If the weather is pleasant, as it was during my visit, you'll be treated to a magnificent panorama of the snowy mountain ranges. You'll find yourself captivated by the tranquil beauty of nature, while the sleek, impressive skyscrapers will leave you in awe.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The service is outstanding, the food is delicious, and the view is incredible. I'm a big fan of city view restaurants, so when we visited Seattle, this place was a must-visit.
Full disclosure: We visited this restaurant in June 2017, and as of this writing (December 2017), the restaurant is closed for renovations. Here is our assessment.
Super yummy pies and super friendly staff thanks. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Something about the experience of being atop the Space Needle, eating an “intergalactically famous” pie from the TipTop Café, is indescribable. This is one of those moments that you can’t forget, even if the pie is incredibly expensive. The spice blend in the Vadouvan Pakora Pie filling tasted exactly like one of my favorite home cooked meals growing up, and the pie pastry itself was buttery, flaky, and soft. Enjoying a warm, flaky pie from the café watching a beautiful view of Seattle on a cold day perfection!
