Something about the experience of being atop the Space Needle, eating an “intergalactically famous” pie from the TipTop Café, is indescribable. This is one of those moments that you can’t forget, even if the pie is incredibly expensive. The spice blend in the Vadouvan Pakora Pie filling tasted exactly like one of my favorite home cooked meals growing up, and the pie pastry itself was buttery, flaky, and soft. Enjoying a warm, flaky pie from the café watching a beautiful view of Seattle on a cold day perfection! I visited the Seattle Space Needle for the first time today and decided to try a Tiptop pie as a snack while up there. Being that I live near a large Amish settlement and frequently enjoy rather delicious slices of pie, imagine my surprise when I tasted the apple pie with bourbon and brown sugar. I felt light headed it was so delicious. The crust was a wonderful flaky delight. I had to get another to enjoy at the hotel. I only wish I could take one in my suitcase. If you want to enjoy a snack that you won’t find anywhere else, taste a pie at Tiptop. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20
Overpriced $13) just okay dough and a little canned or frozen fruit filling. Two of these tiny wastes of calories with taxes and the annoying Square tip experience totaled $32.58. The Space Needle is a worthwhile experience provided you don 't mind crowds and waiting lines, but skip the food temptation. A person mentioned to try the restaraunt instead of the cafe on the observation deck, just one little problem the revolving restaurant has been closed since 2017. There is a cocktail type lounge below the observation deck, however, it is not a full service restaurant, has limited food items, has an age requirement to enter, and have to buy a pre determined food/beverage package.
